These kids were a group that came in for the day, on August 29 of last year, from St. Lucia. Karen, in front, drove them in, and joined us at Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift. Theyw ere a lively bunch, accompanied by their two teachers, who at the end paid more attention to me than the kids. They were very tired after some heavy travelling, but we made a good day of it. Although I am no longer an active member of the Dundee Diehards, I still remain on standby for them when they need extra members. The picture shows us in British khaki during the filming of the movie on the 1906 Bambatha Rebellion. I have acted as their narrator on the 2007 commemoration of the First Anglo Boer War, more notably the Battle of Amajuba, at Fort Amiel on February 17 of this year.
